Under what circumstances will I need to pay fees for cross-currency withdrawals?

When a client is involved in cross-currency withdrawal, the system will review if the account is valid for cross-currency withdrawal based on the client’s deposit channel, total deposit amount and whether the minimum transaction lot is reached. At the same time, the system will deduct the quota of free handling fees (which was obtained by accumulating a certain number of transaction lots). Within the quota limit, Doo Prime will not charge additional currency exchange handling fees. The calculation formula of the quota limit is 1 transaction lot = USD 100 of free handling fees. If there are no issues, the system shall approve the client’s cross-currency withdrawal.

However, if the client does not have sufficient free currency exchange handling fees quota and wishes to perform a cross-currency withdrawal, he/she may be required to pay a cross-currency exchange handling fee according to the deposit channel used and for a certain deposit. Different fees apply to different deposit channels. Please check with your dedicated account manager for more details. In addition, clients can also withdraw funds through the original deposit method to avoid paying additional fees.

For example, a client has made a deposit of USD 5,000 using a local bank and an international wire transfer in the same account. The client can withdraw USD 4,000 for the first time using an international wire transfer at no additional cost based on his USD 5,000 free handling fees quota. If a client requests to withdraw USD 6,000 by international wire transfer, as it exceeds the deposit amount by USD 1,000, the free handling fees quota accumulated through the transaction lot will be checked to see if it is met in accordance with the “Cross-Currency/Method of Payment Access Policy”. If the client wants to withdraw the full amount by international wire transfer, the USD 1,000 is considered a cross-currency withdrawal. Hence, the client needs to meet the transaction lot size of 10 lots before they can withdraw for free.
